So, I’m still experimenting w/ all of my Konad image plates as well as what polishes, other than the one white special polish that I have works well with them. I find that thicker polishes like cremes and mattes work best with the Konad image plates, as well as darker colored polishes. Shimmery polishes stamp well too, but they need to have a relatively thick consistency to them to get the best result. I was playing around with some different polishes and image plate designs when it dawned on me that even though the ‘matte trend’ is slightly out of season, a matte/suede type polish would stamp well considering the consistency of them. I put on two coats of Zoya Anaka w/v Seche Vite as a top coat. I then stamped the m63 plate the swirly design and applied another layer of Seche Vite. I find that the stamping come out better on top of a top coat, or maybe its just a safety net for, lol. In actuality, I get a much smoother application w/ applying a top coat before I stamp.
I was beyond happy that the design came out so well and that the color scheme coordinated well together. I’m also going to visit my Mom tomorrow and I think she’ll really get a kick out of my nails. Maybe I should bring my Konad stuff just in case she asks me to give her a manicure. Overall, I think this is a really versatile look and I’m so glad that I got the hang of the whole stamping thing. My images are coming out so smooth and crisp, so I will definitely be posting a sleuth of “konadicures”. Anyhow, I hope you all like it and be sure to let me know what you think!
I must say that this is the one color that looks better on camera than it does in real life. Mainly, because the flash picks up the gorgeous blue in the polish. In real life, or rather natural light, it just looks black. This was a little disappointing b/c I really thought it would come out the really pretty blue color that it looks to be in the bottle. Overall, I really like the white plaid strips layered on top of it, b/c it gives it some pizzazz. I thought Ibiza would have been fun in a bottle, but it was a little messy in application(aren’t most dark polishes?). You can almost get a way with one coat, but two gives you a nice even, smooth look.

I decided to redo my nails for Valentine’s Day. I have CG Red Pearl w/ a fun Konad image stamped(I haven’t yet memorized all my plates yet, I will included later) on it. It came out very well and I am so pleased at the result. I only wish my V-days plans would come through, but that’s another story!
I hope everyone receives lots of L-O-V-E on Valentine’s Day and every day of the year! With love, HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
I totally embraced my inner 12 yr/old w/ this concept, but its cute nonetheless. The Sinful Colors I Miss You just didn’t do it on its own, so I decided to put the 292 Magenta under it. I rarely use the 292 Magenta, b/c to be frank on its own, it just doesn’t do it for me on its own. So basically, neither color can stand alone, they definitely need something to jazz each other up.
You can find both @ your local drugstore(s). Rimmel $3-$5/Sinful Colors $1.99

I’m seriously in LOVE with this color!!! I actually picked it up @ Sally’s one a whim, because it came free with a coupon when I bought a bottle of Seche Vite ( the coupon is valid though the 31st, and you can find it right in front on where they selve the Seche Vite in Sally’s). I thought I had every China Glaze shade of nail polish that my local Sally’s has that caught my eye, except for this one! Its one of those reddish/fuschia-pinks that you almost pass up, b/c it looks like another pink shade. For some reason I fancied this one and decided, since it was free, to grab it. I feel oftentimes that when I wear pinks (b/c its my signature color) that its boring as a polish color. I’ve worn pink on my nails since I was 12, so I really try to reach beyond my scope of pink and wear all colors of the spectrum on my nails. Is just something about this pink that just make me gush, lol, I wish I really would have wanted until Valentine’s Day to wear, but hey at least I did a trial early and can see figure if it will be my shade of choice for the day of love.

Pics taken w/ my phone…its a shame my phone picks up color better than my 10.1 Megapixel Sony Cybershot!
With flash in darker lighting
Without flash in sunlight….crazy right? Looks like a completely different color. Blyss is definitely a duochrome color, remind me of Stars & Rockets e/s by MAC. In some lighting it looks more fuschia/purple-y and in other lighting it looks more hot pink.
